It shouldn't surprise anyone that sooner or later, I was going to strike at Captain D's. Actually, they sent some flyer coupon thing in the mail and I drive by it everyday. So one sad and cold evening, I walked in and used one of the coupons. It was fucking awesome!!! Calorie overload. 4 tender super fried pieces of fish. Yum. And good size too, don't know what the other reviewer was talking about. If these are fingers, I'd hate to see what he considers "fillets". DAYUMMM And hush puppies, which were just some sort of fried potatoey thing. And two sides. I got the corn and brocolli. LOVE corn. Yum. They were a little overcooked but I didn't care. LOVE brocolli. I love this place. Especially with the coupon. They sent me another page of coupons today!! Can't believe am like a fucking bag lady now cutting out coupons at a fried fish fast food joint. YES assholes, I have stooped that low. But that's low with a greasy plate of fried fish baby.

For a fast food seafood place, Captain D's is not that bad. Really good sizes for the price.I would eat here again, when I am looking for a quick fried fish, shrimp type of meal.

Very clean. Nice view of boatyard across the street. Staff friendly & helpful. I got the $4.99 meal deal of 1 fish finger (which they call a "filet"), 4 lobster poppers, & 4 lightly breaded shrimp, with corn on the cob & lightly-breaded okra for the 2 sides. My husband had the surf (golden, shrimp) & turf (grilled shish kabob-style) for $7.49, with steamed broccoli and Southern-style green beans (although he ordered fries to go with the broccoli), and we split a 4-piece crab poppers for $1.99 (I think). Fish was slightly over-cooked, but still excellent, with my favorite: malt vinegar! Everything else was cooked to perfection! A great price, and enough food to enjoy at the restaurant, without waste, or lugging around a go-box.

Another chain restaurant that must be expanding their profit margin through portion control. Why bother calling the fish "fillets" when fingers or strips would be more descriptive? I ordered a four piece meal with the ideal of taking a piece home. No chance of that happening. I considered asking what's up but I noticed that all the fish served was cut into the same size strips. One more reason to stop by Maria's or Joe Patti's rather than be short changed by the good captain! The three stars are for the quality of the food. Fries, slaw, hush puppies and fish (what there was of it) was well prepared and quickly and courteously served.

I use to love this place, but not anymore. All due to one person.....The girl that works the Drive Thu window. BRITTANY!!!! I have never met this person but every time we go we get her at the window. She could not be anymore RUDE every single time we go. It is like she absolutely hates it there and takes her frustrations out on the guests. Also I family prefers cocktail sauce so we always ask for extra(3 of us). Not matter what I say to this drive true expediter, she will give no more than three cocktails!! I even have offered to PAY EXTRA, I still get 3 for 3 meals! common! I tried again last night, we where hoping not to get her, well .... pulled around and low and behold.....Brittany! damn it! asked for extra cocktail as nicely as I possible could as to not piss her off more. Of course as I pulled out, checked and bam, we get 3 cocktails for 3 meals AGAIN! I am simply DONE!

Always good! I like the country stile fish. Why in the world would you pay high prices in tourist restaurants when you can eat great food here at very low prices?

As far as Maria's or joe patties, haul ass- .. if you want to pay what you WILL pay at the other 2 then good for you! This place is a favorite with the awesome Talapia!! That's what I have and my other wonderful half has the fried fingers as you call them. NOW If you are retired and you are healthy minded and if you are military on a budget as us then CHEERS for these nice people for serving and selling great food and at a price all of us Americans can afford.. I promise we eat there at least once a week. I get the Talapia with rice(it comes with it) and 2 sides which are usually the green beans and baked potato... We both eat for under 20 bucks and we are not cheap we like great food. Apportion wise you are able to go home without falling asleep or driving without wrecking because you have not loaded your self with tons of grease baked or butter runneth over fish from the oven.. Every restaurant has something healthy, this has it and then some.. Its a cool idea for a family on vacation and a budget.. xoxox
